Silicon Detector Assemblies

The SDA-050-U Silicon Detector Assembly consists of a UV enhanced silicon photovoltaic detector mounted in a housing designed for monitoring radiation in an integrating sphere. The unfiltered detector assembly has a broad spectral response from 190 to 1100 nm.
The SDA-050-P Photopic Detector Assembly consists of a silicon photovoltaic detector, filtered to closely match the CIE photopic response (400 - 700 nm). Both detectors are relatively insensitive to temperature.

PSD-030
PHOTOPIC SPHERE DETECTOR ASSEMBLY

The versatile PSD-030 Photopic Sphere Detector Assembly is designed to function as a cosine receptor. The PSD-030 is ideal for capturing the illuminance at all angles within a larger integrating sphere. The assembly consists of a 3 inch diameter integrating sphere with an integral baffle. The interior of the sphere is coated with Spectraflect, a diffuse, highly reflective surface coating. A silicon detector filtered to yield a photopic response (400 - 700 nm) completes the assembly. The knife-edge 1.0 inch input port of the sphere detector assembly has a wide field-of-view necessary to make accurate illuminance measurements from any light source. An 8-32 rod mount with a base is also available.

GDA-050-U
GERMANIUM DETECTOR ASSEMBLY

The GDA-050-U Detector Assembly consists of a germanium (Ge) detector mounted in a housing designed for monitoring radiation in an integrating sphere. This unfiltered detector covers the NIR spectral range and has a spectral response from 800 to 1800 nm. A thermo-electrically cooled version is also available; please contact the Technical Sales Department for additional information.

PDA-050
PHOTOMULTIPLIER DETECTOR ASSEMBLY

The PDA-050 Detector Assembly consists of a 0.5 inch, side-on photomultiplier tube with a high voltage power supply, voltage divider and buffer amplifier to measure low level light signals. The design takes advantage of an inherent current gain which occurs in a dynode chain located between a photocathode and an anode. The gain is proportional to an applied high voltage. The PDA-050 is also characterized by low noise and dark current.

CDA-030
CHROMATICITY SPHERE DETECTOR ASSEMBLY

The CDA-030 Chromaticity Sphere Detector Assembly consists of three filtered detectors, red, green and blue, housed in a 3 inch diameter integrating sphere. The integrating sphere integrates the light such that each detector responds to the same stimulus. The detectors measure chromaticity values x and y, which yield other important color values including correlated color temperature and dominant wavelength. This detector assembly is designed for use with the DM- 1000 Detector Multiplexer and the SC-5000 Integrating Sphere System Control.
