Product Overview - Raman Fiber Optic Probes

Process RamanProbe (with optional purge shroud) RamanProbe II Low-cost RamanProbe Original RamanProbe Reaction RamanProbe Compact Sample Holder InPhotonics is the originator of the RamanProbeTM optical probehead offering efficient signal collection and complete attenuation of the excitation laser line. The coaxial, two-fiber design (U.S. Patent 5,122,127) uses micro-optics for precise beam steering, optical filtering, and signal collection. Our probes all provide filtering that reduces the laser signal far below the intensity of typical Raman bands. This results in clean spectra without the Rayleigh "tailing" into the low-frequency region, and avoids saturation of the detector on an unwanted laser line. Only our Raman probe can provide such filtering in a compact, flexible probehead that has grown into a complete product line for research, analytical and industrial applications.

All of our probes are available for six different excitation wavelengths: 514 (Ar+), 532 (DPSS), 633 (He-Ne), 670 (diode), 785 (diode) and 830 (diode) nm. Since we provide complete products with integrated fiber optics, our probes are available with fiber sizes ranging from 50 µm to 500 µm to best match your laser output and spectrograph input. Additional capabilities, like imaging and polarization detecting are also available. A comparison of our basic products is provided in the accompanying table. Custom probe configurations are available upon request. Please consult with our experts to find the best probe for your instrumentation and application.

Note: The 1064 nm probes for FT-Raman spectroscopy are similar to the RamanProbe and Reaction RamanProbe models. Please consult the individual specification sheets for our 1064 nm products.
