Cable Assembly

GSR provides the broadest choice of patchcords to the industry. All GSR patchcords are tested utilising the industry's latest equipment and offer superior quality at low prices on all styles of patchcords. 100% Guaranteed!
Built to your specifications Simplex/Duplex patchcords with FC, DIN, LC, MU, MTRJ, SC, ST, MPO, D4, Biconic, SMA, E-2000 Connectors are available for either Multimode or Singlemode systems. Upon request, GSR will colour code duplex patchcords for easier identification.
GSR patchcord represents high quality, very low loss and maximum performance. A test data sheet can be included with every order upon customer request.
Note : GSR patchcords are supplied with orange jacketed multimode (50/125um or 62.5/125um) fiber or yellow jacketed singlemode fiber.

Plastic Cable
Plastic Optical Fiber Cables are designed for data transmission. The standard product is a 2.2mm jacket over 1.0mm step index plastic fiber. Standard Colors are red and black. Other colors are available upon request.

Ribbon Fanout Assembly

Mode Conditioning Patchcord
Mode Conditioning Patchcord (MCP), also known as Gigabit Launch Patchcord, is used in longwave/long haul (LX/LH) Gigabit Interface Converter (GBICs) with multimode fiber. Without using MCP, multiple signals are generated when a singlemode laser is launched into the center of a multimode fiber. This would result in pulse broadening or Differential Mode Delay (DMD) effects which degrade the modal bandwidth of fiber cable and limit the link span (the distance between the transmitter and receiver) for operating Gigabit Applications. MCP provides an offset singlemode to multimode fiber connector point that eliminates the effect of DMD by launching the singlemode laser into multimode core at a specified offset.

Drop Cable Assembly
Drop cable assemblies from GSR are used to transport coupler cable from splice boxes to fiber optic processing equipment. Perfect for use with aerial splice boxes this drop cable can be pre- terminated with any type of fiber optic connector. Suitable for use with cable from 2 to 12 fibers. This connector fits standard CATV receiver boxes.

Panda Patchcord
Panda Patchcords (Polarization Maintaining Patchcord) have orthogonal "slow" and "fast" axes with different propagation constants. There is little coupling between the polarization modes, therefore, light launched on one axis would propagate on that axis. PDR patchcords are prealigned against connector key for best coupling efficiency and extinction ratio.
