The Rainy Day Account is a high-yielding, fully insured 3-month renewable certificate of deposit.  You can open it with as little as $100 and add to it at anytime.  If you want the convenience of automatic savings, we can automatically transfer money from any Fidelity Bank account each month.  A $40 minimum monthly deposit is required but there is no maximum amount!  Money can be withdrawn from this account at any Fidelity Bank office during regular banking hours.  Money can be withdrawn at the quarterly renewal without penalty.  Withdrawals made prior to the quarterly maturity will be charged a penalty of $25 or one-half of 1% (whichever is greater) of the principal amount withdrawn.  Did you know that the tax rate for Massachusetts's residents on interest earned in Massachusetts's banks is half the rate on other types of interest and dividend income!
