House-hunting without a “Real Pre-Approval?”  Please don’t

Spring and summer are the prime home buying months here in New England.  And, this year, the market is super-tight with lots of buyers looking at a shrinking pool of available homes.  Real estate agents tell us that – in this hot sellers’ market – they often won’t even show homes to buyers who haven’t been pre-approved for a mortgage.  Why not?  Because real estate agents know their sellers don’t want to waste time and energy with unqualified buyers.  Maybe you’re thinking of buying a new home soon.  Maybe it’s a member of your family, a friend or co-worker.

Please bear in mind – and please tell people you know – that it is very important to get pre-approved before you go house-hunting.  Otherwise, you run a real risk of losing your dream home to a buyer who’s better prepared.  And also remember that not all pre-approvals are created equal.  At Fidelity Bank, you get a “Real Pre-Approval” – a firm commitment letter showing how much house you can afford.  Anything less may not be good enough.  Right now, we offer literally dozens of mortgage programs – one’s sure to be right for your situation.  We cover all of Central Massachusetts.  And our “Real Pre-Approval” will help put you in the best possible position to get the house quickly and easily.  Call 800.581.5363 and ask for a Home Loan Specialist.  Or come see us.
