Abenaki Seal

Abenaki SealIf you have bought lumber from us, you may have noticed a special seal on your invoices and order acknowledgements. This is our Abenaki Quality Care seal. In the year 2000 we decided to highlight the attention that each load of lumber we ship receives.

Each load of green lumber that arrives in our yard is promptly stuck with Breeze Dried StickersTM at one-foot centers. The thicker as well as all of the opened grained species are also end waxed to prevent checking. The top packs in the air-dry yard are covered to prevent sun and water damage.

Our Northern Red Oak has a specially designed air drying area with shade curtains all around to control the wind, dust and sun. We dry each species on a carefully designed drying schedule unique to each one. After drying the lumber is carefully re-inspected and packaged with 1 ¼” steel strapping and pile bottoms strapped on to provide ease of handling. We also provide end paint and can even put your own logo on if requested.

Each package of lumber is carefully stenciled with the species, grade and package number on both sides of the pack. Finally when the truck arrives for your load, we have a totally covered loading area to ensure that the lumber is protected from the weather until it is fully tarped for transport. When you see the Abenaki seal, you can be sure that all these steps and more have been taken to provide you with the Quality, Consistency and Service that customers have come to expect from us.
