LONDON - June 2, 1999 -
MediaPhonics, the provider of award-winning desktop telephony products, announced
today that it has been selected by Web + Print Design of The Red Herring to present at
Venture Market Europe this Wednesday, June 2nd at 12:00 AM at the Dorchester
Hotel, London, UK. Venture Market Europe is a two-day, executive forum where CEOs
of the most promising European and Israeli technology companies reveal their business
strategies to technology financiers and other corporate partners.
Frederic James Gentizon, CEO of MediaPhonics, will present
a "live demo" of MediaPhonics PhoneRider, a unique integrator enabling the convergence
of telephony over the Internet (IP) and PSTN - and it is fully integrated into
Windows based applications and totally transparent to users.
Unique product architecture makes the MediaPhonics PhoneRider
telephony device particularly well suited for Internet telephony in web enabled
call centers & E-commerce. Microsoft TAPI & Intel USB standards compliance
and superior call management are features that will also position MediaPhonics
in various segments of the emerging call center markets. These include small distributed
call centers with remote agents, as well as large call centers requiring logging
such as order confirmation, banking and market research.
MediaPhonics target market is
huge
There are over 7,000,000 seats in CTI enabled call centers
and the market is growing at 20% per year. Industry experts anticipate that between
6 and 10% of the market will migrate to remote agents. This produces a remote
agent installed base of $200,000,000 as an immediately addressable market.
E-commerce is in its infancy, and IDC believes it will
grow at a CAGR of 79% from 1998 to 2002. Again, experts believe that an Internet
voice connection is critical to the success of these sites.
OEM strategy
MediaPhonics is addressing call center market through OEMs
and system integrators. Accordingly, substantial marketing contact has been made
with majors.
