PhoneRider USB Specification

PhoneRider USB introduces a new level of serviceability and ease of use to CTI. Base on the industry standard Universal Serial Bus (USB) specification, PhoneRider USB simply plugs into the USB port on a PC, and hardware set-up is complete. It eliminates the need to open the computer to install internal cards.

  • USB is a "one plug fits all" Plug and Play peripheral connection endorsed by Compaq, Hewlett Packard, Intel, Lucent Technologies, Microsoft, NEC, and Philips. Features include:
  • Hot-swap - install or remove PhoneRider in a live systems. The PC automatically detects it and configures the necessary software.
  • USB Hubs - peripheral devices that have additional ports, enabling applications to scale from one to eight ports (under USB 1.1, and beyond eight ports with USB 2.0)
