Some things
never change, like the high quality of the TVC Jarrell-Ash Quarter
Meter Ebert Monochromator, found in thousands of laboratories worldwide.
This high performance, small monochromator remains as popular as
ever, and its overall efficiency remains unmatched by any other
small monochromator.
The use of two
gratings, each blazed at different wavelengths, maximizes the performance
of the instrument throughout the entire visible spectrum. The gratings
are mounted on one assembly and are interchanged by rotation of
an external control knob. To work in regions other than the visible,
or if only one grating is needed, order the 82-415 model and choose
one or two gratings to cover any desired region from 200 nm to 40
µm. There is a large selection of gratings to choose from.
Two bayonet-type
slits are provided which can be easily removed and interchanged
for other slits. This feature allows resolution or high throughput
measurements, depending on the width of the slit used. An adjustable
slit is also available.
The MonoSpec
25 features an Ebert optical design with the entrance and exit slits
in a straight line configuration. This optical system provides high
throughput with an aperture of f/3.5. An all-aluminum casting makes
this a highly stabilized optical system.
There are numerous
applications for which the MonoSpec 25 is ideal. Use it as a monochromatic
illuminator for microscopes, photometers and other spectrometer
systems. The MonoSpec 25 performs superbly as a spectrometer measuring
absorption, transmission, emission, reflection, fluorescence and
phosphorescence. Its versatility has made the MonoSpec 25 the standard
monochromator for general use in physics, chemistry, biology and
engineering laboratories.
