Electroplating is a process
dated in quality and tradition with diverse applications ranging from corrosion
resistance to conductivity and from aesthetics to reliability. Advances in technology
and global competition continue to place demands on the electroplating job shop
to improve performance, reduce time and lower cost. It is in these helping meet
these demands that TecNu
becomes "THE RIGHT CHOICE".
TecNu
utilizes recent advances in power semiconductor technology, microprocessor technology,
manufacturing processes and software to create and deliver, a state-of-the-art
line of precise, flexible and higher performance electroprocessing power supplies
commonly known in the industry as Sealed Rectifiers. These include direct current
(DURAPOWER), periodic
pulse, pulse reverse (DURAPULSE),
and wave sequencing power supplies (DURAPROCESS).
TecNu's
recent advancements in electro-plating power supplies are very significant and
fall into the following categories;
· Improved performance
and specifications
· Ability to generate more complex wave forms
· Improved user ergonomics and capability
· Improved automation and process integration
· Size and weight benefits

· The DuraPower
series of low ripple Direct Current (DC) power supplies, provide precision control
of output current and voltage. TecNu
provides a wide range of low ripple DuraPower models and many special options
to help you achieve consistently high quality results again and again.
· The DuraPulse
series of periodic pulse (PP) and periodic pulse reverse (PPR) power supplies
enable control of the On-Time (Forward), Off-Time (Reverse), On-Amplitude (Forward)
and Reverse Amplitude (if applicable). The additional control variables over DC,
provide control over the electrochemical process by affecting such properties
as the diffusion layer, grain size and nucleation. Proper selection of these variables,
yield deposit results which can not be attained by conventional direct current
at comparable deposition rates.
· The DuraProcess
series of multiple wave sequencing power supplies are new and covered by TecNu
intellectual property. They output a non-periodic wave form by sequencing ramped
start and periodic pulse signals to achieve the desired deposit characteristics.
The DuraProcess combines
DC, PP and PPR in a specific wave sequence to optimally achieve the desired deposit
characteristics over complex geometric surfaces or under difficult to plate conditions.
· The
DuraCalc
is a pulse wave form tool available to you on the TecNu
web site. The first calculator is able to accept on-time, off-time and average
amplitude level then calculates the duty cycle, frequency and peak amplitude level.
The second calculator is able to accept duty cycle, frequency and average amplitude
level then calculates the on-time, off-time and peak amplitude level. We hope
this tool adds value and can be used to verify calculations and avoid errors.
TECNU's
complete line of high performance electroplating power supplies come very well
equipped with numerous standard features which cost extra or are simply not available
on competitors models. Additionally TECNU
provides a complete line of options to customize your unit to tackle the most
challenging plating jobs. Use the Options link to view our additional list of
available options.
