KeyTek, founded in 1975, is a world leader in providing electronic manufacturers with high quality testing system solutions. KeyTek has been a pioneer in the development of test systems for both the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and component reliability markets. KeyTek's systems have been installed in major companies worldwide and are used to improve the quality and reliability of both industrial and commercial products.

In 1975, KeyTek introduced the first commercially available high-energy, multi-standard bench-top surge test system to fill a major void in the marketplace. Over the next ten years, KeyTek established itself as the leader and industry expert for stand-alone surge and EFT testing and continued to introduce new products to meet market demands for increased functionality and performance.

In 1983, KeyTek introduced the Series 2000 ESD tester and quickly positioned itself as the industry leader in ESD testing. The MiniZap, a small handheld battery powered tester, was unveiled to the market a few years later and immediately became the defacto ESD tester and continues to be the leader today, more than 10 years after its initial introduction.

In 1989, based on proven technology and expertise in ESD as well as the need to diversify, KeyTek developed and introduced the ZapMaster, an automated test system for testing ESD immunity, targeted at the fast paced, high volume semiconductor industry. Over the years, KeyTek's ability to deliver the additional functionality required to meet the growing needs of the market as well as offering the ZapMaster in multiple configurations and proven reliable performance ensured the ZapMaster's leadership position.

In 1990, KeyTek expanded its pulsed EMI product offering with the introduction of the first in a line of high voltage EFT test systems.

Continuing to establish itself as an innovator in the EMC industry, in 1992 KeyTek introduced the ECAT (Expert Computer-Aided Testing), a totally modular, user configurable, combination EFT, Surge, Dips and Interrupts mains coupled test system. Positioned as a high-end system, KeyTek later introduced the CEMASTER and EMCPro combination EMC test systems to meet the needs of the entry and mid-range markets and to firmly establish KeyTek as the primary vendor of high-quality combination pulsed immunity test systems.

Complementing the pulsed immunity products is the innovative RF immunity and emission product line from KeyTek's sister company Comtest. In 1997, KeyTek acquired Comtest's G-Strip product. The G-Strip is an entry level TEM cell test system used as a pre-compliance testing tool to determine a product's immunity to and emission of RF fields.

Together with KeyTek's immunity test systems, consumers can determine if their products meet the mandated requirements of the European EMC Directive necessary to all products intended for export to any European member state.

In 1997, KeyTek acquired the Verifier component reliability product line thereby broadening its product offering. Today, KeyTek provides a broad selection of system solutions to the semiconductor industry and is recognized as an industry leader.
