How It Works

The sponsor of the Fishing Contest, Youth In The Arts, Inc. will stock Spot Pond on Friday morning, 10/26/07, with 12 Bass. Each fish will be tagged with a number between 1 and 12. Fishing will commence  at noon on Friday and continue through 4:00PM on Sunday. The Department of Conservation and Recreation Requests that fishing must end at dusk each day.The grand prize winner will be the paid entrant who catches the fish with tag number one. Other prizes will be paid to any paid contestant that catches any of the other tagged fish. The Grand prize is guaranteed by SCA Promotions of Dallas, TX, a nationally recognized bonus prize guarantor of many product promotions.

All entrants must have their paid entry receipt available for inspection and when presenting a fish for a prize.

Parking is available at the DCR office, 4 Woodland Rd., Stoneham and the Stone Zoo also in Stoneham.

The Rules

1. All contestants must pay the $25.00 entry fee.
2. Children under 12 years accompanied by a paying adult need not pay.
3. Only paid contest entrants will be eligible for prizes.
4. No boats are allowed on Spot Pond, per request of The Department of Conservation and Recreation.
5. All entrants must have their paid entry receipt available for inspection and when presenting a fish for a prize.
6. All entrants are subject to all the pertinant laws and regulations governing fishing in Massachusetts.
7. The winner of the grand prize will be responsible for all state and federal taxes that may result.Taxes may be withheld as required.
