So you've heard how the web will give you the world, huh? Now you're curious about that language you keep hearing references to -- HTML -- and you want to know what's under the hood, so to speak. Well, if that's what you're looking for, you've come to the right place!
My objective is to give you a hands-on feel for the Web & HTML. You'll do a lot of work at the blackboard, and I will throw in many tests to make sure you understand and can apply what you've learned. You'll learn about:
Web basics, including protocols
HTML required segments
HTML coding for creating paragraphs, formatting text, and structuring information with headers
HTML coding for unnumbered, numbered, and glossary lists
HTML coding for tables, tables, and more tables
Specifying Uniform Resource Locators
HTML coding for images and hyperlinks
HTML coding for attaching Cascading Style Sheets
Finally, a quick note about highlighting:
this background color means we've highlighted an important point
this background color when you move your mouse over underlined text, it means it is a hyperlink that will pop-up in a separate window
