Your Instructor, Mike Doyle

Hello, and welcome to my HTML Basics course. This course has been used in one form or another since 1995, when I first began teaching HTML. Many of the exercises and examples come from years of experience in communicating these concepts to students.

I have been in the technical communications business since 1983, as writer, manager, and teacher (corporate and University of Massachusetts).

I began working in the web development world in 1995, and have launched two sister companies: PUBSNET (www.pubsnet.com), a technical training and conference company, and web design by web designers (www.theeditors.com), a web design firm.

Although the management of the companies keeps me pretty busy, I have continued to teach and write, and am particularly fond of teaching Dreamweaver courses (I am a Macromedia Certified Dreamweaver Developer).
