How do I...
...learn everything there is to know about the Web & HTML?
...use the Student Blackboard?
...bookmark the course for later return?
...save the results of my tests?
I'm not sure how to say this delicately, so I'll put it bluntly... somewhere other than here! This course is designed to provide an overview of the Web & HTML, but there is a lot of technology there...and it can't be covered anywhere in a single seating!
Also, please note that in developing this course I made choices about "commonly used" attributes to discuss. There are over 90 HTML elements, and each of those elements in some cases has a dozen or more attributes...
We're a starting point. Your next step should be to learn more about HTML, or an authoring tool such as Macromedia's Dreamweaver. You can get both at PUBSNET Training.
The Student Blackboard is the tool you will use throughout this course to learn how to enter and edit HTML files. Just a couple of notes about the Student Blackboard...
Unlike our tests, we do not judge the results of the HTML you enter into the Student Blackboard. Rather, we simply gather your HTML and send it to your browser when you click the View It button. That way, you see exactly how the browser interprets your HTML code.
Also, each time we gather your HTML, we display the results in a new browser window. We've included a Close Window button at the bottom of each new window so that you remember to close windows after viewing them...otherwise your desktop will become very cluttered in no time!
Finally, notice the Reset Student Blackboard button just below the Student Blackboard window. That button allows you to reset the Student Blackboard to the original HTML displayed before you started working on it (that way, if you get lost and want to start over on that exercise, just click Reset Student Blackboard...try it!).
You have two options to Add to Favorites (Internet Explorer) or Add to Bookmarks (Netscape Navigator):
Actually, this is a pretty easy question to answer....when you are taking a test and press the Grade It button, notice that the page remains loaded in your browser and Professor's feedback is displayed on the Blackboard (lower left of browser window).
To erase the Blackboard and take the test again:
We provide absolutely no tracking of test results for this course. So, feel free to tell your friends & family that you "Aced" the course...
That's easy...send your instructor, Mike Doyle, an email at: mdoyle@pubsnet.com. He will not, however, be able to respond to advisory type questions such as "How do I..."
You can take Mike's training on HTML, Dreamweaver, & Coursebuilder.
