I. Entering Spaceloft and Pyrogel Into the 3E Plus Program

1. Select K Factor Menu
2. Select Add a New Insulation to the Program
3. Type in Spaceloft/Pyrogel, select Next
4. Select Other from Generic Material list.
5. Enter 1200°F for Maximum Temperature
6. Then enter the following 3 pairs of Temperature and Mean Conductivity:

   75 and 0.08
   400 and 0.015
   900 and 0.21

7. Select Continue and Restart the program as instructed.

II. Using the Program for Spaceloft/Pyrogel

1. Select Insulation Thickness from the Main Menu.
2. Select Calculate Up to Ten Materials from the next menu.
3. Change the Number of Layers to 1.
4. Enter the appropriate Temperature and Pipe Size
5. Select Spaceloft/Pyrogel from Insulation Material Drop Down
6. Enter desired thickness then click Calculate.
7. Click Continue after the result returns and select another insulation material from the material drop down menu. Enter thickness. Click Calculate and see how the result compares to the Spaceloft/Pyrogel Result.
