A little "R & R" for your Mixer
Ever wonder how to minimize maintenance downtimeand keep your mixers running at their peak performance level?
It's easy with the "R&R" (Repair & Rebuild) Program from Admix.

Our Field & Technical Service Representative, James Crowell, will be happy to explain the program to you. You can contact James at 800-466-2369 or email him directly at jcrowell@admix.com

As one of the fundamental steps of this program, Admix inspects all components including bearings, seals, mix heads, rotors/stators and shafts, and replaces any worn components. We'll also check shaft straightness and run-out to ensure they meet specification, and inspect and align shaft couplings (where applicable).

With regularly scheduled maintenance, it's easy to keep your mixers in tip-top shape. So ask yourself this... could the benefits of a little "R&R" for your mixer (minimized downtime and reduced mixer maintenance) free up some time for you to enjoy a little "R&R" of your own?
Pectin: Processing Challenges
Are you interested in learning how you can completely disperse pectin and reduce your batch time from hours to minutes?

Pectin is commonly used as a gelling or thickening agent or a stabilizer in various food products. Probably the most familiar application is providing the thick consistency to jellies, jams and marmalades. Pectin is also used to stabilize acidic protein drinks, such as drinking yogurt, as a fat substitute in baked goods and because pectin is not digested, it is considered a beneficial dietary fiber. Pectin isn't just used in the food and beverage industries, it's also found in various cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications.

Mixing pectin can be a real challenge! In the past, it was necessary to premix hydrocolloids of this nature with other inert powders such as sugar to act as a dispersant. In addition, temperature of the fluid at time of dispersing and hydration played a big factor.

With proper high shear as available with our Rotosolver, DynaShear or Fastfeed, there is virtually no need to premixwith solids and less concern with temperature. Temperature will always affect the ultimate viscosity, but with Admix high shear equipment, complete and quick dispersion is assured, allowing hydration to proceed.
